** We welcome non-members to take out membership of EurSafe, but please do so before registering for the conference. We cannot accept reduced rates for anyone joining EurSafe after they have registered for the conference.
*** The student bursary rate was available to a limited number of students without access to conference grants, on application. To apply for this reduced rate please send us an email to eursafe2022@ed.ac.uk to enquire and we will explain the confirmation process to you. Please note that as part of this process we will require your supervisor to confirm your details.
It is our plan and our hope to host this event in person. If the situation with the Covid-19 pandemic was to change, we may have to change these plans to comply with Scottish laws and regulations regarding size of gathering, travel restrictions etc. If we have to change the plans, we will communicate this promptly alongside information regarding the alternative online format. It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that they have adequate travel insurance in place to cover any costs for travel and accommodation changes, in case we are forced to change plans. We also suggest to consider travel and accommodation options that provide flexibility in terms of cancellations.
Furthermore, visitors to Scotland may have to comply with any rules for testing and isolation that may apply at the time, on arrival, or for pre-departure testing. The Scottish Government has the most up to date information on its Scottish Government dedicated webpage. Any costs for mandatory testing should be carried by the participants. If testing is likely to be still in place in September 2022 we will aim to remind participants of this in a pre-event email.
We will not be held responsible if for any reason the conference is unable to commence or curtailed early. Attendance fees will not be refunded in the event of threat of war, terrorism, strikes or other circumstances outside of the organisers’ control. Substitute delegates are welcome at a charge of £30 (to cover resetting the necessary database information, accessibility and dietary requirements, etc.), but we require you to advise us of any substitution no later than 30 days prior to the first day of the conference.
